Prohibited in hand baggage but can be packed in the hold:
Scissors (except where both blades are round-ended or less than three centimetres). Fire lighters, lighter fuel, paints, thinners. Poisons, arsenic, cyanide, weedkiller. Radioactive materials, acids, corrosives, alkalis, caustic soda. Creosote, quicklime, oiled paper.
Vehicle fuel system components which have contained fuel.
Your passport must not expire during your visit to the UK.
There are various options for travel to city:
Heathrow Express: every 15 min to London Paddington. The journey time is 15 min. A single fare is £14.50 / £28 for a return.
Tube trains operate every 5 min into central London with a journey time is 60 min. Cost is around £5.
Trains run every 30 min from Heathrow to Paddington via local stations in west London. The journey time is 25 min. A single fare is £6.90.
Heathrow to Feltham: The 285 local bus service links Heathrow to Feltham rail station. From Feltham there are frequent trains to London Waterloo. The journey time of the bus and train is 1 hour and 40 min. The cost is £5.
London taxis are available outside each terminal. The cost to central London is about £60 and the journey time is 1 hour.
