Timisoara route has 3 more night flights per week added during the summer(2008) timetable period compared to the winter.
The 2 Malev services a day from Cluj-Napoca - one in the afternoon and one at night - are timed to link in to the airline's Western European schedule.
Direct flights to New York restart on 2 May, while Toronto becomes accessible by Malev Boeing 767 from 26 May.
The Schengen rules come into force at Ferihegy airport from the start of this year's summer timetable, which brings changes to the operations of Malev and therefore its passengers, too. From this moment passport controls at the Ferihegy air border for all travellers flying to Schengen states cease. As a consequence of the new regulations, in future Malev will not only operate from Terminal 2A. All flights to and from Schengen countries continue to operate out of 2A, while non-Schengen traffic goes through 2B.

Buses, mini buses and shuttles
An airport mass transit articulated bus, no. 200, leaves for the city centre every 20 min. A ticket costs less than one euro.
The BKV airport bus runs to the starting station of the M3 underground line (Kobanya-Kispest – also a mainline railway station).
The LRI airport authority operates an 11-passenger airport minibus service that takes passengers to any destination in the city. Tickets can be purchased at the Airport Minibus counter.
